Service, fees and company policy — NB Consultant

Our approach to applicable BNBC 2020 design, written scope, project-based quotations, payment verification, deliverables and responsible use of drawings.

Last updated: 25 October 2026

NB Consultant works through an agreed scope, responsible engineering and transparent billing. This policy explains how an assignment is agreed, designed, paid for and delivered.

Design standards and professional responsibility

We commit to designing with the applicable provisions of BNBC 2020, relevant local-authority requirements and technical standards for the project's location, use and scope. Relevant ACI standards are used where applicable. The design basis, loads, material specifications, geotechnical information and significant assumptions are recorded in the project documents. Appropriately qualified architects, engineers and specialists are coordinated where required.

Building performance also depends on verified information, soil investigation, materials, execution and appropriate supervision. A design is not a promise of zero risk or no earthquake damage. Approval is decided by the relevant authority; engaging an approval-support service does not guarantee approval.

A written agreement before work begins

Submit a request through your dashboard with the plot, location, intended storeys, use and relevant documents. After review, the quotation identifies included and excluded work, deliverables, responsibilities, indicative timing, revision limits and fees. Work begins once you accept the quotation and satisfy its stated start conditions. An initial request or general discussion alone is not the final design agreement.

Transparent, project-based fees

Fees depend on service scope, building scale and complexity, stages, specialist input and deliverables. No single square-foot rate is represented as a government-set fee for every project. A written quotation states the pricing basis and total for your acceptance before the assignment is commissioned.

The quotation explains whether applicable tax/VAT, authority charges, surveys, laboratory tests, site visits and third-party costs are included or additional. Changes to scope, fees or timing require your agreement to a revised proposal before extra work proceeds. Your accepted project quotation takes priority over general preliminary price guidance.

Invoices, payments and receipts

An invoice and any payment stages follow the accepted quotation. Check the active payment method and recipient details in your dashboard before paying. If no method is active, obtain written instructions from the office first.

A manually submitted transaction reference or payment image is initially pending verification. The payment is credited and a receipt issued after the office matches receipt of funds against the recipient bank or payment-provider record. A submission acknowledgement or screenshot is not itself a receipt of funds. A statutory tax document, where applicable, may be separate from the ordinary receipt.

Information, revisions and use of drawings

Ensure that plot information, ownership documents and requirements you provide are accurate and that you are authorised to use them. Communicate material design changes in writing. Revisions within scope, new requirements and construction-stage changes are recorded separately. Use only the authorised final revision for construction. Drafts, website examples and drawings from another project are not construction instructions for your site.

Site visits, construction supervision, authority submission, additional tests and redesign are included only when stated in the written scope. The quotation specifies drawing-use rights and whether editable source files are supplied. Do not reuse a design on another plot or project without permission.

Cancellation, concerns and privacy

See our cancellation and refund policy and privacy policy. If a deliverable does not match the agreed scope, identify the item and project reference in writing so we can review it and explain the resolution. These terms do not restrict rights available under applicable law.
